Laser and water

Bad Rothenfelde

Bad Rothenfelde is one of the many spa-towns dotted around Germany. Its own specialty are walls of dried leaves on which water is allowed to drip. Inside the wall this creates a damp microclimate, where people walk or sit to inhale the supposedly curative air. This wall turns into an enormous canvas (see featured photo) for video projections every two years during the biennielle called lichtsicht.

A spectacular piece was the one in the video below by Eyal Gever. Called Water Dancer, this piece projects a dance by Sharon Eyal on to a fountain of water.

I travel on work. When that gets too tiring then I relax by travelling for holidays. The holidays are pretty hectic, so I need to unwind by getting back home. But that means work.
