Crowds

Do you remember 2019? People used to hang around in crowds, and look happy.

Mumbai
Goreme
Nairobi
Istanbul
Bharatpur

In retrospect the featured photo is specially poignant. It was taken in Wuhan, at a time when the virus had already begun to circulate, but no one recognized it for what it would go on to do.

On that note I take a blogging break of around two weeks.

I travel on work. When that gets too tiring then I relax by travelling for holidays. The holidays are pretty hectic, so I need to unwind by getting back home. But that means work.

  1. I hope you have an enjoyable break, IJ. We look forward to your return. This is a great set of images. I miss crowds and the feeling of not worrying about the virus! Nostalgia for crowds…what a surprise!!

  2. We’ll miss you I.J., hope your break is whatever you wish it to be. Loved your post, especially the final image of all of the photographers with lenses pointed. That’s a really fun image. The Wuhan shot is also really good – I love photos of photographers in action! Were you really there?!?!?!

  3. Great post – I really miss crowds, even the ones that used to annoy me (on the London Underground, for instance). I love your photo in Bharatpur, and the featured photo from Wuhan is indeed poignant – young people enjoying their lives with no idea, apparently, of what was about to hit them.
